I love this quote from Jeff Goins:
"Every great writer begins in the same place: in the land of insecurity and self-doubt."
As a writer and artist, doodler, scribbler, or however you want to call me, I face fear, insecurity, and self-doubt everyday. Other writers and artists are so much better. They have better ideas. They write wonderful prose. Their vocabularies are extensive. They definitely draw so much better. Almost four years into blogging, I still feel like a beginner.
The fear and insecurities that come with beginning something do not only apply to writers. It applies to everyone looking to start something meaningful.
Fear, self-doubt, and insecurities will never go away. But, you can learn to dance with them.
Yes, they can be overcome. But, just because you overcome them today doesn’t mean you can easily overcome them again tomorrow. Overcoming fear, self-doubt, and insecurities is a daily decision.
