Businesses pay millions, billions, or probably even trillions of dollars (not pesos) just to get your attention. They do it through advertisements on TV, on radio, on billboards, on the bus you rode this morning, on the internet, on Facebook, and on everything they can put their products on just for you to take notice. That’s how valuable your attention is.
But, are you valuing your own attention? Or are you just giving it away? Are you focusing your attention on things that will help you grow into the person you want to become? Or are you simply allowing advertisers to interrupt you?
Your attention deserves better. You have to take control of where, what, or whom you give your attention to.
P.S. This is why I love subscribing to mailing lists. Subscribing allows me to take control of whom I give my attention to. This way, I give my full attention only to the people whom I want to learn from and to the lessons I want to learn from them. It also helps me avoid getting interrupted like how it often is on websites or social media. If you think I deserve your attention, I’d love for you to subscribe to The Daily Email. If you already have subscribed, thank you for your trust and for giving me your valuable attention.
