What are you doing about your spiritual dryness?

Let us make an effort to seek God more and to know Him deeper. Being in a relationship with someone requires knowing the other person in a deeper way. Let us know God even more. And we can start by finding out more about Him in the Scripture.

Are there times when you don’t feel like going to mass because you don’t understand its significance?

Are there times when your prayers feel dry?

Are there times when you have a hard time connecting with God in prayer?

Lately, I’m finding it hard to reflect on God’s word and on what it means for me in the moment. Today, the Gospel reading helped me realize why:

“He said to them, ‘These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the law of Moses and in the prophets and psalms must be fulfilled.’” — Luke 24:44

It’s because I haven’t been making an effort to know God.

While I read and reflect on the daily readings every single day, I haven’t been reading the Bible, reading theological, inspirational, or spiritual books, and listening to podcasts that talk about our faith.

I have been feeling dry, but I haven’t been doing anything about it.

How about you? Are you also feeling dry lately? What are you doing about it?
