Are you stressed out?

Let us remember that Jesus is with us. We don’t have to please anyone. Our deadlines are nothing compared to what He overcame.

I am overwhelmed by the deadlines that I need to meet today. I am worried, anxious, and stressed out. There’s also an issue with my bank account that is driving me nuts.

But in today’s Gospel reading, I feel as if Jesus is asking me almost the same question He asked Mary:

“Jesus said to [Mary of Magdala], ‘Woman, why are you weeping?’” — John 20:15

Of course, Mary was weeping because she thought someone took away the body of Jesus.

But today, let us allow God to ask us:

  • “Why are you weeping?”
  • “Why are you stressed out?”
  • “Why are you anxious?”
  • “Why are you worried?”
  • “Why are you feeling discouraged and hopeless?”

Let us remember that Jesus is with us. We don’t have to please anyone. Our deadlines are nothing compared to what He overcame.

We only need to remain in His love. We only need to trust that He will help us get through this day.

We no longer have to be anxious, worried, or in despair. We don’t have to weep anymore.

Let us trust Him today. Let us remain in His peace and love.

P.S. I woke up really stressed out today that I had a hard time praying. So, I prayed without words and simply remained in His love. It works.
