The two ingredients of a miracle

The first is faith.

The second is our participation.

[Jesus’] disciples answered him, “Where can anyone get enough bread to satisfy them here in this deserted place?” Still he asked them, “How many loaves do you have?” “Seven,” they replied. — Mark 8:4-5

In the miracles of Jesus, He often allowed others to participate in His miracles, whether through their faith, their actions, or their offerings: like today’s seven loaves of bread, the five loaves and the two fish, and the jar filled with water.

Are you still waiting for a miracle in your life?

Maybe God is asking not only for your faith, but also for your participation.

What is God asking you to offer to Him?

Maybe it’s your time, your effort, your strength, your resources, all that you have, or all of you.

Today, let us receive our miracles — with our faith and our participation.

P.S. Even without our faith or participation, God can create anything out of nothing. Maybe God allows our participation so we can better appreciate His miracles. Like the ingredients in cooking, our faith and participation are not required, but they make the miracles "taste" better.
