How do we testify for God?
From my experience, it helps tremendously to understand what He has done throughout history by reading the Bible. It also helps to know Him more through a relationship with Him and with His family here on Earth — the Church.
But, testifying for God is more than just a lip service. It is more than just sharing what we know about Him.
We can testify for God by sharing to others who He is in our lives and what He has done for us personally. It is our personal experience and relationship with Him that makes our testimony just that — personal.
It all starts with recognizing that He is the Living God and what He has done for us. It starts with recognizing that He is truly working in our lives and living in our midst.
At any given point in our lives, even right now, we can testify for Him.
“Now I have seen and testified that he is the Son of God.” — John 1:34
P.S. Can I share with you who God is in my life, especially during the last seven years?
He is my Security, especially when I fell into despair in 2011 when I faced rejection after rejection in applying for a job.
He is the Source of my joy and confidence, especially when I was suffering from having low self-worth.
He is our Healer and Physician, especially when my wife had to undergo surgery just last week, while being pregnant with our baby.
He is my Hope, especially in this seemingly hopeless world and country.
He is the One who forgives my sins and loosens my bondages, especially from pornography.
He is the One who blesses us, the One in whom my hope lies.
He is my Father who loves me. Because of Him, I feel and know that I am loved.
